Hybrid cloud

Hybrid cloud is a type of cloud computing that combines an on-premises infrastructure, or a private cloud, with a public cloud or a cloud from a third-party provider. Despite all the advantages of cloud computing, it may be desirable or necessary to have certain services active in your own data center or in an external data center under your own management.

So you have the ability to bring together (the best) elements of multiple cloud types, with or without on-premises, into a single solution. Whether it’s to meet regulatory requirements, optimize existing technology investments, or support latency-sensitive applications, hybrid cloud is a central part of modern IT strategies.

There are multiple definitions of the term 'hybrid cloud'. The most important and central element of this cloud model is that you as an organization use multiple cloud providers (for example a combination of Azure, AWS and Oracle), a mix of public and private cloud infrastructures or a combination of cloud(s) and on-premises. You therefore merge multiple clouds and possibly your own on-premise servers into one working whole that combines the best of multiple digital worlds.

Benefits of Hybrid Cloud

  • Easy to distribute across different environments
  • Flexibility, scalability and control
  • You can continue to use your own servers
  • The scalability ensures cost savings
  • An additional layer of protection by allowing you to transfer applications and data to an offsite cloud environment
  • Comply with regulations
  • The right IT environment for every application

More deployment options
Depending on the properties of the application, you determine in which environment it functions best. This ensures that the applications perform optimally.
Great flexibility
Scale up and down when needed. This is especially useful when your organization is dealing with certain peak times.
Cost efficient
You only pay for extra power when you need it. In addition, the investments in hardware and software are lower.

Keep, replace or renew?

Many companies are faced with the choice of replacing hardware, using it for another year, or completely renewing it, or a combination of these. The goals and ambitions of the organization, the industry, and the requirements for security, privacy, and compliance will determine the final options and possibilities.

We prefer to come up with a suitable solution, instead of forcing you into an existing solution. With handy building blocks we always design, develop and manage customized solutions. Sometimes fully managed, sometimes hybrid, but always based on standard components and proven technology.

Future ready

A hybrid cloud infrastructure not only offers benefits today, but is also an investment in the future. With a hybrid cloud model, you can respond to changing workloads and peak times without sacrificing performance or availability. This allows you to grow and scale as needed, without worrying about limitations or overloaded systems.

In addition, it provides access to advanced features such as automation, analytics and AI in the cloud, which benefits the optimization of operational processes and stimulates innovation.

Business Continuity plan: too important not to have

A Business Continuity plan can perhaps best be compared to fire insurance. Necessary to have, but hopefully you will never have to use it.
