Unity XT models

The Unity XT family distinguishes the Hybrid Storage Arrays and the All-Flash storage Arrays. Both offer simple, all-inclusive software for data storage. These systems are designed for performance, optimized for efficiency, and are ideally suited to support virtualized applications.

The difference between the two types is that the F variant has the All-Flash functionality. The Unity XT’s All-Flash design includes linear multicore scaling, inline data reduction with zero detection for blocks and files, firmware-based garbage collection with zero impact on the drives, IO minimized, intelligent wear leveling, high-density SSDs including 15,36TB drives. The enclosure supports eighty flash drives in just three racks for even more space saving.

All Flash supports business applications that require speed and low latency.
Hybrid Flash supports general-purpose workloads with automated performance, policy-driven efficiency, and a mix of flash and cost-effective spinning disk.
